Professional Experience:
1.Joined In Unilever Bangladesh Limited, the leader in Home & Personal Care business in Bangladesh on 21st January 2008. Since then I have been working there as a Production Shift Officer.
Major Job responsibilities:
1.Managing Safety, Health and Environment:
To standardize a process of safe design of equipments and systems through the use of various risk assessment tools, elimination of hazards, introducing engineering and management control systems to safeguard/neutralize the risks.
To develop standard procedures for new jobs and review continuously the existing procedures, systems and controls.
To ensure strict adherence to set procedures using monitoring tools is a part of this responsibility. Carry out critical examination of materials, human beings, process and equipments for identifying and eliminating risk exposures to ensure safety of the work force by focused shop floor round.
To carry out the safety assessment for any plant change, process change, and equipment change according to SHE Frame Work standard of Unilever, implementation of controls for the change mode and revise the operating procedure.
Every individual in the workforce is to be trained on the standard operating procedure of the relevant operations and tasks of general involvement in the manufacturing area.
Finally to develop a safe culture of working through behavioural change of thinking safety among the people and improving infrastructure.
2.Resource Management and Control of Operation:
Carry out internal planning of process and packing operations and thus to ensure smooth sailing of operation to meet weekly production plan.
To maintain close co-ordination with company planning and logistics to ensure inflow of materials as required in shop floor and outflow of finished goods as and when required.
Optimum utilization of workforce.
Monitoring process parameters & taking remedial actions to ensure strict adherence to the specified level for smooth production and to maintain the desired product quality attributes.
Organizing and implementing quick SKU change over in the production lines to reduce idle time.
Examining criticality of process and equipment and giving on the spot engineering solutions to ensure maximum plant out put.
3.Delivering Projects:
To deliver a number of successful engineering projects. These projects are commonly related to productivity enhancement, elimination of losses of materials, man hour and productivity, developing new facilities etc. These projects have given tremendous boost to the business to thrive it to a greater height.
To lead and to work in team in commissioning new machines and equipments and stabilizing these in operation.
Work with almost all the innovation projects, with development team. Help the innovation team in problem solving with breakthrough thinking.
4.Maintenance Management:
Lead the departmental technical team and become the champion of maintenance management for the department.
Develop planned maintenance schedule for new machines, strict adherence to the planned maintenance schedule for all machines, reviewing the schedule depending on the after maintenance analysis.
Analysis of the breakdowns and deterioration of parts and equipments using different analytical tools, determining and implementing the countermeasures to avoid repetitions.
Spare management for a large variety of packing machines, process and utility equipments comes in the periphery of the maintenance management.
Implement the maintenance management software MP-2 which will be a great tool to give the maintenance system a strong control.
Utilizing factory central engineering team in critical engineering projects and maintenance in co-ordination with Factory Engineer.
5.Maintaining Departmental KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):
Keep track of the key performance indicators (KPI) of the department to give the business a competitive edge.
Take measures through initiating and implementing new projects, elimination of losses, ensuring greater effort from the workforce through high level of team alignment and thus to keep conversion cost within target
2.As earlier I worked in Walton Hi-tech Industries Ltd. During 1st March, 2006 to 20th January, 2008 as APO, Motorcycle department.
Major Job Responsibilities:
Working for this organisation I assist and coordination with the project of Motorcycle & Refrigerator manufacturing plant. Setup of different types of machineries in the plant.
I am also responsible for designing the process and plant layout of motorcycle production plant.
Working with the research and development team I am also responsible for design different parts of Motorcycle & Refrigerator using CAD and machining using CAM.
Control and coordinate motorcycle production activities of the plant. |
