Name of Employer: American International University Bangladesh
Faculty member in the School of Business Administration, teaching courses in Decision Sciences; project management, supply chain management, and operations management to BBA and MBA students as an Assistant Professor at the American International University Bangladesh (Aiub).
Also serving as the Director- Continuing Education Center (CEC) at the American International University Bangladesh. Responsibility includes overall planning and coordination of a corporate training institute that focuses on industry suitable courses in ICT as well as computer applications in business.
The CEC manages the following programs of the university which has strategic academic partnerships with CISCO Inc., Microsoft, and SUN Microsystems:
(i)Cisco Networking Academy Program: which offers courses such as IT Essentials, CCNA, Network Security, IP Telephony, and Wireless LAN to students who wish to pursue a career in network engineering.
(ii)Sun Academic Initiative of Sun Microsystems; offering courses in Sun Solaris Operating System leading to certification in System Administration.
(iii)Microsoft IT Academy; offering Microsoft certified courses in System Administration (MCSE) and Programming (MCTS).
(iv)Corporate Soft Skills Programs such as Computer Aided Project Management, Total Quality Management, and Supply Chain Management and Software Applications in Accounting, etc.
Significant Achievements as Director-CEC:
(a) Revenue of CEC was BDT 1.8 Million in 2005. After taking over in
2006 (September), the revenue for 2007 was recorded at BDT 7.75 million, an Increase of 430%. Planned revenue for 2008 BDT 13.5 million.
(b)Developed a system of incentives that increased motivational levels of employees. The number of customer complaints came down from 33 cases in 2005 to 4 in 2007.
(c)Introduced 12 new courses to the program in 2007. Plan to add 7 new programs in 2008.
(d)Received academy champion award from Cisco as one of the 5 best academies out of 250 academies in the Asia-Pacific region..
(e)Made presentations on behalf of the university in Kula Lumpur and Hong Kong at academy council meetings organized by Cisco.
(f)Signed up the university as the first Microsoft Security Cooperation Partner in Education (MCPE) outside the United States.

As Director of TEXCON, played an active role in assisting the government officials at the Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources in formulating policies to allow the private sector to operate in the CNG sector. Responsibilities within TEXCON included planning, setting management policies, and setting up and optimizing the supply chain arrangement for the company’s production function.

Regal Corporation ( as subsidiary of Regal Group) is an exclusive agent in Bangladesh for several international companies such as; Pillsbury of USA for commodities and Macchi Spa of Italy for engineering goods such as industrial boilers and small power plants supplied on turnkey basis. The company was involved in bidding in local and international tenders on behalf of its’ principals who had an interest in selling their products to Bangladesh, especially GOB. The responsibilities ranged from guiding the principals in preparing competitive tender bids, post-tender negotiations with the buyers, management of a project worth USD $ 8 Million for setting up a Steam Turbine Generator Power Plant at a fertilizer factory owned by the government. Gathered experience in preparing tender documents for technical projects.
