I am currently seeking potential jobs or positions in a successful computer-oriented corporation, preferably in the field of GIS (Geographic Information System) or Surveying/Mapping or in Environment/Conservation.
I am also seeking potential teaching prospects especially to teach English language.
With several years of working in a Centre for Geographical Information System, I have gained valuable experience and understanding of several software and new technologies as well as knowledge in cartography/mapping, report writing and database management.

For nearly one year and a half, I was engaged as a teacher with the Minstry of Education. I was based at two different schools during that time.
My main responsibility was to educate young students in the field of Social Sciences which comprises Geography & History.
I also participated actively in the many educational and sporting activities held at school level.

Started as a GIS Technician in 2000, and got promotion in 2007.
Working in the Centre for GIS, my main responsibilities involve capturing spatial information and storing it in digital format, editing spatial digital data, analyzing spatial data, data management, producing outputs for example creativity specialized maps as well as report writing. I’ve also been able to perform more advanced task in various software for e.g. creativity and interpreting 3D terrain models, using hand-hold GPS set while on field work.
I have good knowledge and understanding of many GIS-based software such as ArcGIS Desktop, MapInfo, Idrisi Kilimanjaro, ILWIS to name a few as well as other related software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office & FrontPage, Photoshop & CorelDraw, Macromedia MX. I recently took part in a workshop whereby I learnt about the software Geocap.
I have also been involved not only in the GIS-related issues, but also in other applications and computer-related tasks within the Ministry. I was involved in the setting up of the Ministry’s network and Outlook 2000 during a consultant’s visit.
Currently the Centre is involved in some major national projects and I’m participating actively in those projects our Ministry’s undertaking – Maritime Boundary Delimitation (which I am a member of the Sub-Committee), National Atlas, Sensitivity Atlas for the National Oil Spill Contingency Plan, Marine Mapping Project, Web Page Design for the Centre, Disaster Management & Climate Change.
I have also been involved in many field-work trips whereby we use hand-held GPS to collect data as well as to verify ready-made data.
I have also represent my country and my ministry overseas attending conferences, workshops or short courses such the EIA (Environment Impact Assessment) in Pretoria, South Africa in 2005 as well as courses in Nairobi, Kenya & Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
