Work Experience
• Period: 2006 – SEPT.2008:
Position: Field Operator – Mellitah Gas Plant, Libya
Company & Location: Snamprogetti Geneva / Dietsmann – Bonatti
Responsibilities:
Mellitah Gas Plant treats raw gas coming from the Sabratah Platform in order to remove the undesired components, i.E. Solid impurities, slugs, hydrogen sulphide, CO2, which in presence of water will be cause of corrosion during gas handling, the residual humidity which may form hydrates in the gas pipeline, and finally the heavier hydrocarbons in order to avoid further condensation in the export gas pipeline.
In addition, Mellitah Gas Plant treats the liquid condensate hydrocarbons coming from off-shore platform to recover the lighter hydrocarbons and to stabilize the condensate product to the storage. The light hydrocarbon are recovered both as off gas mixed with the raw gas to be treated, and as LPG.
Participation at the precommissioning, commissioning and start-up of the plant under Snamprogetti supervision.
Worked effectively in the Gas Treatment Unit and Condensate Stabilization Unit on field operator position.
Participating in training program for ENI field operators.
Tasks:
- monitoring and checking of all process parameters during normal operation, shut-down and start-up, testing and simulations, emergency cases;
- gas, condensate and amine sampling for laboratory testing;
- permanent supervision of the well functioning for rotary equipments ( gas compressors, condensate and amine pumps, etc.) ;
- execution of all field maneuvers under supervision of DCS operators and shift supervisor;
- permanent monitoring for accidental leak detection; reporting and primary intervention in case of leak detection or any other emergencies.
• Period: August – September 2005:
Position: Field Operator for Utilities – Sabratah Offshore Platform, Libya
Company & Location: Elettra Energia& Saipem Italy
Responsibilities:
Platform main activity consist in primary treatment for the gas extracted from offshore wells, condensate separation, advanced cooling, dehydration with TEG and gas transport to onshore facilities; also condensate pumping to onshore facilities.
Participation at the precommissioning, commissioning and start-up of the plant under Saipem – Elettra Energia supervision.
Task:
O working as field operator for utility : chemicals, flare, fuel gas, diesel oil, compressed air, sea water treatment, waste water treatment, and fire fighting;
O recording all process parameters, performing specific maneuvers;
O execution on all field maneuvers under supervision of DCS operators and shift supervisor.

• Period: June 2004 – June 2005 :
Position: Dcs Operator for Urea Plant – Phu My, Vietnam
Company & Location: Quad Consulting & Petroconsult Romania
Responsibilities:
Project made by Technip – Italy; owner – Petrovietnam; Snamprogetti license ( stripping with NH3 )
- working on Yokogawa system for controlling urea plant process on Phu My Fertilizer Plant;
- participating in training program for Vietnamese DCS operators and field operators of PVFCC;
- ensuring the process operability using the DCS;
- participating in shut down and start- up operations and in emergency cases response;
- permanent supervision for rotary equipments ( pumps, compressors, etc.);
- drafting out shift conditions, events and their solutions.
• Period: 1983 – 2004
Position: Panel Operator for Urea Plant
Company & Location: SC Amonil SA, Slobozia, Romania
Responsibilities:
Urea Plant license is Stamicarbon stripping with CO2
Worked effectively as field operator, control panel operator and shift foreman.
Task :
- operating the process equipment both in the field and by control panel ;
- participating in repeated maneuvers like shut down and start- up for normal revisions or in emergency cases;
- following up the repairing and start up operations in safety conditions;
- supervision of the commissioning procedures like air blowing, water flushing, necessary steam input, etc.
- checking all process parameters and quality analysis of feed stock and final product during normal operations;
- taking appropriate measures in case of any non-conformity;
- taking part in the works during revisions and overhauling;
