    • Job description and Responsibilities

    ISD Medical centre is a facility of the International School Dhaka that provides immediate medical care to faculty, staff, and students while in school. It facilitates communication with faculty, staff, and parents regarding the school health policy to keep the school community healthy and safe.

    • Responsibilities


    1 Administers first aid treatment
    2 Communicates to the parents regarding school health policies
    3 Administers prescription medications per parent’s written authorization and documents in the administration
    4 Administers non prescription medications to older students at their discretion
    5 Maintains and updates health records for students
    6 Reviews immunization records, identifies those students who are not in compliance with the school policy and informs parents
    7 Screen vision and hearing of children in kindergarten to Grade 5 annually, then Grade 7, Grade 9 and Grade 12 each year, inform parents when there are concerns

    8 Measures height and weight of children in Preschool to Grade5 in biannual health check or when teachers/admin raises concern and inform parents when there are concerns

    Management

    1 Development of work plan, implementation and management of the company

    3 Attended in O.T to manage every newborn baby born by Cesarean Section or NVD with any acute crisis or healthy baby and manage accordingly.

    4 Received new patient and go through proper management & on discharge give a detail advice regarding medicine & others.


    5 Managed emergency patient in Pediatric ward & in Neonatal ward.

    6 We had to do a 24 hours duty in a week with full responsibility

    7 Have exposure and experience to manage a wide range of common Pediatric problem and experience to manage a wide range of common Neonatal problem in Special Neonatal Care Unit confidently.

    8 Attended outdoor twice weekly to see outdoor patient with importance given to vaccination program and in EPI program routinely.
