King Khalid National Guard Hospital is for the National Guard and their families. It has a 500-bed capacity. The Rehabilitation Department is divided into teams: Med-neuro team, Orthopaedic team, Paediatric team and Occupational Therapy team. Each team has a team leader who directly reported to the Head of Department. The teams consisted of between 5-10 qualified personnel per team. Most teams also have assistants that are supervised by qualified personnel.
While I was setting up the Women’s Health team, I also worked as part of the Med-neuro team.
Types of patients in the Women’s Health part :

Both sections were run by the Principal Physiotherapist. The general department consisted of 2 Senior Physiotherapists, 5 physiotherapists, 6 physiotherapy assistants, 3 cleaners and a clerk. The Ithuseng department consisted of a Senior Physiotherapist, 3 Physiotherapists and 5 physiotherapy assistants.
Ithuseng Spinal Rehabilitation Centre (january 1989 -July 1991)
