I am a fully qualified chef and trainer and most importantly a through Hospitality Professional has proven work experience in both hotels and training institutes. He possesses excellent teamwork and communication skills. While at Catering College (Dadar), Mumbai he benefited from six month intensive training in Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen and Food and Beverage Service at “The Orchid” –An Ecotel Hotel in Mumbai.
I am also trained in 3-Dimensional cake design with whipping cream. He was responsible for the Pastry and Bakery fair conducted in college in 2003 and 2004. He is also competent in planning kitchen and pastry department layout.
John worked for a one month contract as Head Chef in a Mauritian restaurant located in Phoenix.
I was a lead trainer teaching Hospitality Professionals at the Hotel and Tourism Training Center, Pamplemousses in Basic and Advanced Food Production, Restaurant and Bar Management, House Keeping Management, Front Office Operation and Relation Skills to student perusing Diploma, Certificate and Foundation courses. He is also registered with the Mauritius Qualification Authority to teach Hospitality Professionals up to Diploma Level in Hospitality Management and its allied fields. He was also actively involved in training hotel staff in hotels around the Island (Indian Resort and Spa, La Plantation, Le Cocotierre, Hotel Ambre, Hotel Bougainville).
He is well qualified to handle and work under pressure and also has the ability to learn and grasp new changing and modern trends and laws etc. He possesses the capability in training and handling staff in various departments of Human resource and other production areas with respect to the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. He has a very outgoing personality and the willingness to teach and share his knowledge and ideas and also the willingness to learn and work as a team. He also possesses the ability to work on projects and other job related activities.
He is currently performing all the roles in the absence of a Training Manager. He is also involved with the Hotel School of Mauritius as an External Evaluator for students completing Degree courses and evaluates their research studies.
