Backing up data using Backup from Windows or third-party programs.
Retrieving data froma failed systems using Linux Live distributions such as Ubuntu.
Optimizing and maintaining PCs using Windows applications such as Disk Cleanup, Disk Defragmenter, Check Disk, Add or Remove Programs or third-party applications.
Troubleshooting PCs and operating systems using Windows tools and programs such as Recovery Console, Startup Repair, Advanced Startup Options ( Safe Mode
), or System Restore.
Installing and troubleshooting Internet and basic Network connections as well as Wireless Networks, configuring SSIDs, MAC filtering, and encryptions: WEP, WPA, WPA2. Configuring WAPs and routers and TCP/IP properties.
Light troubleshooting of ink-jet, dot-matrix, and laser printers.
Removing malicious software such as trojans, viruses, worms, adware and spyware and educating users how to avoid their machines get infected.
Recommending customers what to buy or upgrade and giving them instructions on how to use PCs, applications, operating systems and educating them how to maintain their PCs.
Mounting satellite dishes and DiSEqC motors, pointing them to different satellite positions, and setting up satellite recievers and modems for home entertainment and broadband satellite internet respectively.
Good verbal and written communication, and ready to listen actively to help troubleshootings.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Good organisation.
