Lead Systems Analyst/Programmer, First Data Corp./Star Systems, Inc. 1998-Present
Part of a Technical Services Team supporting Tandem Systems which run the largest EFT switch in the US. Tandem Systems support include: day-to-day operations, new projects design, development and documentation.
Actively involved in making all Tandem Systems ready for Y2K (planning and conversion phases for all systems software upgrades). Re-designed and implemented all Tandem Startup/Shutdown procedures. Upgraded all production (systems related) TACL programs (Netbatch and manual TACLS) after designing new standards and documentation. As part of the Disaster Recovery team, upgraded, tested and documented all Tandem DR procedures. Actually involved in the design of a project plan to accomplish K to S conversion as well as a data center move for all Tandem platforms.
Systems Analyst, Tandem Computers (now Hewlett Packard Corp.) 1986-1998
Pre-sales, Post-sales and Professional Services software support for all Tandem customers in Puerto Rico. Trained as a Tandem Analyst, Software Specialist and a Professional Services provider for the Remote Database Facility (RDF) and Tandem System Startup Services. Provided Professional Services for customers in the United States and Puerto Rico including teaching Software courses.
Supported the Tandem Puerto Rico sales team performing product presentations, preparing system configurations and helping to design sales strategies for all Tandem Puerto Rico accounts.
Supported the entire Professional Services cycle by being involved in sales, modifying Statements of Work and delivering the services. Was responsible to provide various services for all customers in Puerto Rico and was trained to provide the RDF and Startup Services in the US.

Design, development (C Language), testing and documentation for an HDLC LAPB protocol driver (8086-8088 based) controller as part of Stromberg Cellular System. Design, development (C Language), testing and documentation for an SS7 Level 2 protocol driver (NS 3216 based) controller as part of the DCO switch. All of the above software was developed using in-house developed kernels which were defined from previously developed software for each of the above projects.
Systems Programmer, Northern Telecom, Inc.-BNR 1981-1983
Support (NOVA Assembly Language) for a DG NOVA 1200 Data Collector System which polled class 4-Danray switches billing information. Design, development (INTEL 808x Assembly Language), testing and documentation for an HDLC LAP protocol (8085 based) controller as part of the Cellular System (MTSO). All of the above software was developed using in-house developed kernels which were defined from scratch for each of the above projects.
Programmer, SCI Systems, Inc. 1980-1981
Development (NOVA Assembly Language), testing and documentation for a DG NOVA 1200 Host Simulator. Used to emulate an IBM application using BSC to test a Manned Teller System. The above software was developed using an in-house developed kernel which was defined from scratch for the above project.
