- Receive and review formal Requests, Proposal or Quotation from dealing clientele. The review is in detail to address all issues.
- Contact required transportation supplies (ocean carrier, air carriers, export packers, inland transport providers) and solicit costs needed to complete each rate request.
- Arrange Export -import shipments routs & customs clearance of cargo with required carriers, customs brokers and other applicable parties
- Ensure clients, or other required parties are kept fully informed of transport arrangements and status through regular tracing and pre advising of shipments
- Prepare, issue & submit necessary documents to ensure satisfactory shipment. (may include but not be limited to; AWB’s, arrival notices, delivery instructions)
- Preparation of all documents necessary to complete customs clearance process
- Prepare and issue rate quotations externally and internally as required
- Keep clients informed and maintain knowledge of market trends & changes in service options
- Ensure invoicing of rendered services is completely accurately
- Monthly reports to Head Office concerning realized files
