2/2008 to Present Store Manager (Tesco Plc)
As the largest leading retailer in the UK, Tesco announced £51.8bn group sales last year making a £ 2.8bn profit. Tesco now operates in 15 countries around the world. The company directs its expansion efforts on its core UK businesses, retailing services, international operations, non-food business and e-commerce.
I am in charge of Waltham Abbey store with a turn over of £900,000 to £1.1 million a week. I also take care of 3 senior managers, 14 line managers, 21 supervisors and 315 staff.

Customers order their grocery shopping through the internet, we then pick their shopping and deliver to them on time with an excellent service.
Home shopping department takes around £90,000 a week with 2 supervisors and 45 staff. It is a 5 van operation
key duties:
1. Ensure have enough staff scheduled every day to get all orders picked and delivered
2. Perform van checks to ensure vans are legal
3. Manage bottom 3 pickers and drivers on a weekly basis
4. Help and coach staff where needed
5. Respond to all customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction
6. Seek ways to improve service
7. Always look to save money on payroll, other expenses and van damages
8. Smooth running of department is imperative

Warehouse taking in around 15 - 20 deliveries daily and holding a net stock value of around £3million
