I would like to apply for the position of Petroleum Engineer . In 2003, I graduated from the University of Oklahoma (USA) with a Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering and have six years experience as a Petroleum and Reservoir Engineer.
I presently work for the Sonatrach Organisation Ourhoud which is a joint venture company formed between Sonatrach and 6 foreign partners based in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria. I work as a Petroleum Engineer within a multidisciplinary group developing the 2 billion barrel Ourhoud oil Field.
This project has provided ample opportunities to develop my Petroleum Engineering skills, my creativity for numerical problem solving and professional skills such as presenting my conclusions effectively both in writing and orally. As you will see from my CV, I have had a broad range of experience which has developed my ability to build a rapport with diverse disciplines and maintain effective working relationships.
I have really enjoyed the opportunity to work closely in a multidisciplinary and multi cultural environment focused on such a challenging Field development. I am however now looking to further my career with a new challenge.

Sonatrach Organisation Oourhoud, Algeria Jun 2003 to Present
Working for Organisation Ourhoud a joint venture oil company between Sonatrach and 6 foreign partners in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria. Field reserves in excess 1 billion barrels and daily oil production rate of 235,000 bopd. The field is currently produced under dispersed waterflood development with a tertiary recovery WAG pilot.
Production Engineer Jun 2004 to Present
Responsible for all production testing in Ourhoud field via six Roxar Multi phase flow meters on daily basis. Update the MPFM PVT inputs to ensure more accurate results.
Provide weekly well allocation equations based on MPFM tests and well target guidelines for both oil producer and water injector wells based on voidage replacement factors.
Provide support to field well operations personnel in the management of the field, and identify wells not meeting target or with problems.
Surface network model construction, matching, and gas lift allocation using GAP.
Programmed acid stimulations (Acid bullheading and Coiled Tubing) for oil, gas and water injection wells. Assess suitability of acid compositions for various treatments.
Selection of zonal isolation techniques for gas and water breakthrough (plugs/straddles/workovers).
Contributed in Design and implementation of a sand control strategy for the field.
Contributed in Design and implementation of an ESP pilot for Ourhoud field.
Selected new and additional perforations based on reservoir monitoring (PLTs and RSTs interpretation).
VLP modeling of oil, gas and water wells using PROSPER including model matching to well performance and development of input data for reservoir simulation models.
Gas lift design, analysis and optimization.
Well service programs and supervision for PLTs, CBLs, RSTs, CT cleaning, PFO/PBU welltests, Tracer Injection.
Monitoring of all well parameters on a daily basis using Yokogawa Exaquantum software.
Exposure to water flooding and gas injection projects.
Strong knowledge preparation and QC of production/injection data allocation reports.
Liaison role between subsurface and operations departments.
Reservoir Engineer Jun 2003 to Jun 2004
[I have spent almost one years in this discipline where my main duties were; reservoir surveillance & management and reservoir engineering data acquisition/analysis]
Contributed in design and implementation of a pre-production field wide interference test to determine the connectivity of the Ourhoud Field. Planned the running of gauges in a total of 17 observation wells.
Supervised the MDT logging jobs and full interpretation of results.
Reviewed Oil water contact for Ourhoud field compartments using MDT and Resistivity logging data.
Supervised a SWCT test (single well chemical tracer test) on WAG pilot well to determine the residual oil saturation after water flooding and gas flooding.
Onshore welltest planning and supervision.
Welltest interpretation using SAPHIR software.
PLT interpretation using EMERAUDE software.
Supported multi-disciplinary WAG team in the interpretation of welltest results.
