With Sonatrach Company in Hassi Messaoued South of Algeria.
I have involved several positions and obtained a good experience as an operator.
Operator of Storage:
I am responsible for the unit which contains tanks type floating and stationary roof,
Pumps type centrifugal, coolers type forced draft.
I have my daily tasks as monitoring, supervising, and checking rotative equipments.
Make gauge to the tanks in service and in expedition too.
Drainage the water before start expedition.
Drainage roof of the tank if there are liquids on.
Prepares work for maintenance department such as cleaning strainer, replaced stuffing box.
Add the lube oil to the pumps and checking state of strainer via PDI.
Ensure there are not leaks or undue vibration in the system such as rotative equipments as pipes work.
Check position of manual valves and ensure they are in the correct position.
Report all abnormally in the unit to my responsible.
Operator of Separation oil & gas:
My responsibilities are:
Check local pressure gauges on the equipments and compare to pressure indicated on DCS to ensure
Prover working order of pressure indicators.
Carry out general inspection of piping, valves and vessels for signs of corrosion, especially at welds.
Permutation exchanger if it is blocked (PDSHH) so that to avoid damaged of the equipment.
Verification state of coolers as noise, and belts also overheating electrical motor.
Prepares work for maintenance department as isolation and aeration and flushing, drainage before
Start works.
Check position of manual valves and ensure they are in the correct position.
Dehydration gas:
I am responsible for two units the first in service and the second in standby for any urgent or needs,
As if there is any problems in the first (leak, blocked).
I have my daily tasks as monitoring and supervising and make the patrols during the shift.
Checking and verifying all equipments and machines are there in normal and correct function.
Permutation exchanger and make flushing.
Report all abnormally to my chiefs.
Start up and shut down Reboiler in local mode.
Reset alarms as vibration coolers, and verification breakers if it is ON or OFF position.

With Sonatrach & Anadarko association.
I have involved several positions and I have obtained good experiences as an operator.
Operator of injection compressors:
I am working on the NUEVO Pignone and Solar Turbine and Dresser Rand Compressors, my responsibilities
Are checking, supervising and monitoring equipments as: Transmitters, Glass level, Separators, Coolers.
Supervising and verification rotative machines and electrical motors, pumps, coolers to ensure they
Are normal and in good conditions of function.
Add lube oil.
Verification and permutation filters if they are blocked.
Report all abnormally such as leaking, noise, Fan belts damaged.
Prepares and verification circuits for starting as verification suction and discharge valves also drains
And vents in correct position.
Prepares work to Maintenance department as isolation, drainage, aeration, in order that working in the safety conditions.
Operate in the local mode some equipment such as pumps, coolers, if there is a breakdown and a loss communication from the D C S.
Reset alarms as vibration coolers, and verification breakers if it is ON or OFF position.
Increase and decrease speed in manual mode.
Operator of Process compressor &Dehydration gas:
I am responsible for compressors and ensure the good function.
Checking, supervising and monitoring.
Prepares circuits for starting.
Verification suction and discharge valves also drainage and vent valves before starting compressor.
Verification and permutation filters if they are blocked.
Prepares work to Maintenance department as isolation, drainage, aeration.
Start and stop in local mode Reboiler.
Verification and permutation filters if it is blocked.
Fill up the Glycol (T E G).
Checking and verification parameters of function.
Operator of Separation & Stabilization oil:
My tasks are checking, overseeing, supervising and monitoring all installations and rotative and static equipments in the train such as separators, exchangers, pumps, Columns, heaters, coolers.
Verification and checking transmitters and switch as PT, TT, FT, LSHH, PSHH, PSLL, LSLL, state of strainers too.
Start and stop in local mode some equipment as pumps, coolers, heaters.
Permutation exchangers if it is blocked and makes the flushing too.
Prepares work for maintenance department such as cleaning strainer, replaced stuffing box of pumps, change and repairs failure instruments.
Isolation and drainage, aeration and flushing before access into equipment for inspection.
Ensure there are not leaks or undue vibration in the system such as rotative equipments as pipes work.
Operator of Storage & Lact metring:
I am responsible for the unit which contains Tanks type floating roof,
Pumps type centrifugal, coolers type forced draft, and lact skid system.
I have my daily tasks as monitoring, supervising, and checking rotative equipments.
Make gauge to the tanks in service and in expedition too.
Drainage the water before start expedition and the roof of the tank if there are liquids on.
Prepares work for maintenance department such as cleaning strainer, replaced stuffing box, also change and repairs.
Add the lube oil to the pumps.
Monitoring and supervising Meters in production and in expedition too.
Make weekly prove.
Checking the strainers if they are blocked, switch with an available meter and report it.
Permutation the pass if there are any problems as leaking, or fault indication and breakdown the flow computer (OMNI type Daniel).
Check and reset alarms if there are.
Enable and disable pass, as change of set point of the automatic valve from OMNI.
Verification sampling system.
Prepares work for maintenance department such as cleaning strainer.
Isolation and permutation pass meter if there are any errors in parameters.
Opening and closing in manual mode and remote too.
Operator of Re-run unit:
Which contains horizontal separator and vertical (Boot), tank type stationary roof, transfer pumps, also drainage for water.
I have to make sure of the good function as describe above and my tasks are the same(checking,supervising,monitoring,start,stop,checking transmitters……..).

Training on LNG with sonatrach in hassi R’mel.
Training on compressor process with Dresser-rand.

Training on DSC evolution with SONATRACH.
