I am a recent graduate of Syracuse University in the United States. I have a two bachelor`s degrees in Political Science and French Language/Literature. I am currently applying for English teaching jobs abroad and I am especially interested in working in Brazil.
For a long time I have been very interested in the Portuguese language as well as the Brazilian culture. While in college I took a class Brazil in the 20th Century and it completely added to my interest in experiencing the country first-hand. Since then, I have been reading as much as I can about the country as well as reading the O Globo newspaper every day which has greatly improved my Portuguese speaking ability but not yet to level of what it could be if I actually lived in there.
I feel that this would be the perfect opportunity for me to completely immerse myself in all that Brazil has the offer as well helping people with their English speaking abilities and possibly learning more about Americans and their culture. I believe this experience would be great for myself as well as whoever would be my student in the future.
