I am a native Portuguese speaker from Brazil. I was responsible for teaching English at the Cultural Center for Language studies (CCLS), a specialized school for teaching English as a second language for professionals of all fields preparing them to proficiency English exams as TOEFL. At CCLS I also had the responsibility of training teachers and preparing methodology-updating seminars on teaching a second language.
I am holding a diploma in information technology (IT), which includes 2 years training. After finishing my computer courses, I was offered a job as a managing director of the IT institute I studied at, for a period of one year voluntarily for experience record.
I followed some non-credit courses in marketing at the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Management (CIMM) in Mauritius for self interest for a period of one year.
In addition, I have some experience as a translator in international congresses as SADC, also for business purposes and as a tourism data researcher, which includes collecting and analyzing information from tourists to improve the sector.
Last, but not least, I was helping in managing my family business, which involved sales and retail.
Other interests includes, reading psychology books, periodicals and research articles related to language, human behavior and feelings. Cooking different varieties of Eastern and Western dishes, music, painting and knitting are some of my hobbies.
