Both families and applicants are spoken to at length, and my aim is to find the right family for the applicant, and the right applicant for the family. All applicants are vetted carefully, and must be able to provide checkable references, and either a CRB or Police Check Document to prove that they have no criminal record in their own country. Reasonable spoken english is necessary. I offer a full supporting follow up service to both my placed applicants and my families, so that any minor problems that may occur whilst a person is settling into family life within a different culture can be ironed out. If you are choosing to be an au pair, this is a good opportunity to take part in a cultural exchange programme - you will be paid pocket money in return for some household duties and child care, experience life within a family homein England, and improve your English all at the same time! |
