| BAU Shanghai has approximately 50 dedicated architects, planners, landscape and interior designers, and support personnel. The firm was first established in 1991, in Melbourne, where its works received a number of important prizes (RAIA awards in Architecture, Urban Design, and Interior Design).
The China branch office was open in 2001, after winning the competition for a sports & leisure center. BAU also won a series of urban design competitions, using the Networks City planning model, which creates cities that are sustainable in terms of environment, economics and culture.
BAU commits to ESD (Environmentally Sustainable Design), has an innovative and creative approach and is culture and site specific.
The office is also a renowned place of cultural exchange in Shanghai and lectures and events are regularly hosted there. |
