In 2006 INPROM supplied its customers with 706,000 tons of steel and steel products. The Company makes just-in-time deliveries by trucks from its warehouses and via railway to any destination in Russia or neighboring countries. INPROM has more than 15,000 customers. Main customers are the Russian construction, engineering, mining, and energy firms.
INPROM ’s steel service centers are located in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Russia ’s second largest city, in the Krasnodar Territory where the Black Sea resort of Sochi will host the 2014 Winter Olympics, in administrative centers of Russia ’s republics - Izhevsk, Kazan and Saransk, and in regional centers - Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Chelyabinsk, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Orenburg, Penza, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Taganrog, Tula, Vladimir, Volgograd, Voronezh, Ufa, Ulyanovsk, Yekaterinburg and Krasnoyarsk.
The Company pursues a strategy of dynamic growth by expanding businesses and increasing investment in new branches and equipment.
Inprom's five-year business development plan envisages expansion eastward to the Urals and Siberia, increasing the number of branches to 42 in 2011, with sales of steel and steel products expected to double from 2006 reaching 2 million tons, if the favorable market situation does not deteriorate. Sales of processed steel are expected to exceed 600,000 tons, or 30% of aggregate sales.
The total area of production and storage facilities exceeded 1.1 million sq. m. in 2006. All the subsidiaries meet the requirements of the unified corporate standard, with metal service centers having modern production and warehouses facilities, loading equipment and cranes. More than 500 different steel products totaling more than 100,000 tons in stock are constantly available at the Company ’s warehouses.
INPROM installs at its facilities modern steel processing equipment, including Italian-made cut-to-length machines, plasma cutting and cage welding machines, and German-built shot-blasting lines, which provide high-quality metal surface cleaning, in compliance with the European Commission standard SA3. The modernization program falls under INPROM ’s strategy to boost the share of steel processing in total revenue, and the profitability of turnover.
INPROM is a public company, which is committed to information openness for investors and provides transparency of its assets. The Company is audited to International Financial Reporting Standards by Deloitte&Touche, and to Russian Accounting Standards - by Russian company MAUER-Audit.
The Company pays special attention to raising the level of skills of its employees through a personnel training program conducted by the Corporate Training Center, with all Company ’s subsidiaries covered by the program. Over 90% of Company ’s senior staff started their careers in the Company as managers.
Under the corporate social responsibility concept, the Company provides its staff with privileges, which are guaranteed by the Labor Law of the Russian Federation, and with a social security package including national insurance, medical insurance, and payments into the pension insurance fund. The Company provides employees with free transportation to and from work. A system of meals at reduced price is also available.
