| KACST is Saudi Arabia`s Ministry of Science.
As part of the Kingdom`s drive towards increasing non-oil exports, KACST is establishing a number of incubators. These incubators provide premises, facilities and business advice to entrepreneurs who want to start and establish companies, to commercialise their ideas.
One of these incubators is for biotechnology, to help Saudi scientists turn their ideas into businesses. The incubator will cover all areas of biotech - healthcare, environmental, ecology, agricultural, bioinformatics - and will provide high-quality laboratories and offices, equipment, business advice and guidance, sources of funding to start-up companies.
The incubator, located in King Fahad Medical City in the centre of Riyadh, will open towards the end of 2009.
Management of the incubator is by Oxford Innovation, one of Europe`s leading experts in managing startups and innovation.
This is a very exciting project, at the forefront of new and exciting technology.
Staff will enjoy first-class working facilities in a brand-new centre and help to create a really stimulating environment for new enterprises to establish and grow. This will be a truly international venture, with contact and collaborations with companies and institutions both in Saudi Arabia and around the world.
We are located in King Fahad Medical City, the largest medical facility in the Middle East. On-site amenities include staff restaurant, supermarket, bank and post office. |
