The Opportunity:
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Business Development Manager located in the United Kingdom position. If you are looking for an opportunity to develop sales strategies and introduce state of the art products and equipment to the UK market, then this may be the position for you!
SEL is a global manufacturer that provides products and services for the protection, control, automation, integration, communications and metering of electric power systems for industrial and utility markets and have an immediate need requirement for a Business Development Manager.
You must be eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom. If you have a minimum of five to seven years establishing and growing technical customer accounts with industrial users, technical sales management experience with industrial users, please submit your CV.
Business Development Manager
Responsibilities:- Develop industrial based customers in the UK.
- Develop relationships with large UK contractor companies operating mainly in Europe, Northern Africa, Middle East, and Central Asia.
- Continue developing the utility market in the UK.
- Develop and implement four-quarter sales forecasts each quarter and monitor progress toward goals.
- Collect and compile regional sales data and customer information, needs and ideas.
- Communicate market/customer needs to the Vice President of International Sales.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all SEL products and our product application in industry practice.
- Follow and improve application engineering area processes.
Qualifications:- Five years of proven experience establishing and growing customer accounts
- B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
- Excellent technical training, leadership and communication skills
- Willing to travel 50%
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL
- Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications:- Proven experience and records in UK market
