| Description: |
A young and innovative hotel company in Thailand, with luxurious & intimate resorts is looking for a General Manager for a new outstanding and extraordinary luxury Resort (44 Rooms & Villas - all with private pools-incorporating Indoor/Outdoor Living). Starting date March/April 08.
Duties & Responsibilities are:
Responsible for leading in and assisting in the implementation of the overall Resort Strategy.
Planning and directing operational departments, allocating funds to hotel departments and approving expenditures within the parameters of policy.
Set targets for growth, analyze and coordinate strategic planning to meet targets for all profit centers within the Resort.
Responsible for planning budgetary expenses and income forecasts while additionally responsible for directing Line Management and Managing Operations to meet set financial goals.
Maintaining statistical and financial records.
Meeting and greeting customers to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.
Responsible for all resort staffing and human resource policies and procedures including ensuring the highest level of staff welfare and benefit possible within the parameters of the organization.
Responsible for directing domestic & international marketing efforts.
Monitor economic and other external conditions and manage proactively addressing issues that may affect operations in order to maximize sales and growth
Establish and maintain service standards to achieve guest, client, staff and management satisfaction.
Participation in local trade shows and industry events as required.
Ensure housekeeping, décor, landscape and engineering standards are met with peak performance for all demand and deterred by ensuring a preventative maintenance program.
Maintain an up to date awareness of the market competition and future trends in line with the Resort.
Interact with the local and regional community and develop and administer a community development program sponsored by the Resort.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety as well as other statutory laws.
Assist staff to ensure that the relationships of the company are strong and beneficial for all parties.
Contribute to the morale and team spirit of the company.
To be understanding, supportive, encouraging and be helpful to all colleagues with service mind and good cooperation
Makes appropriate suggestions and recommendations for the general improvement of the company and Resort Team.
Assist in other management activities within the scope of the overall organization.
Ensures that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of Thai Law and within respect to the Royal Family.
The right Candidate has Hotel management experience either as an RM for 3+ Years in a luxury product or as a GM 3+ years in a 4-Star Prouduct, with recent work experience in Thailand and/or Southeast Asia, Staff management experience, Integrated marketing management & Yield Management Experience. Working knowledge of Hospitality Operations with a proven and successful record, Makes decisions within policy. Is required to perform independently and proactively without guidance. May face difficult situations that require modification of methods or techniques. Must be experienced in thinking on one’s own and managing one’s self effectively and acting as leader of a hotel team.
Positive and outgoing personality, Good interpersonal skills required, Fluent use of PC as related to Microsoft Office and Internet, Well-organized and able to make presentations to owners and executives, Ability to remain calm under pressure
Fluent English, Thai language skill is a plus, Additional European language is highly desirable
Single status preferred, Smokers will not be considered
Remuneration: Expat. Package (Salary range USD 54.000+ benefits + bonus +++) based on experience & background.
