The successful candidate should have the following:
- Degree qualified in a civil engineering discipline.
- Design office experience in general drainage and roads design, for Junior min 1 year.
- A working knowledge of AutoCAD, Mapinfo, WinDes or Micro Drainage and MS project.
- Be able to work effectively under pressure, to deadlines and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Initiate and prepare conceptual, schematic and detailed design solutions for various elements of civil engineering work using CAD software.
- Co-operate with site supervisory resources.
- Prepare drawing lists, programmes, specifications, contract documents, progress reports
- Attend design team meetings and client liaison meetings as appropriate.
- Senior will be responsible for leading the team and train the Juniors .
Examples of current projects involved in include Victoria Square, University of Ulster Belfast Campus, Kiev Childrens Hospital, Derry Public Realm.
Hours of work for both vacancies is Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm. The person would be located at the office in Bruce Street, Belfast. In regards to salary this will reflect relevant experience.
