Medical Director- Exciting Opportunity in the UK
Background:

My client a globally renowned clinical organisation are currently looking for a Medical Director of one of their operations within the UK.

Primary Duties:
To assume responsibility for the proper conduct of clinical trials. To lead a team of appropriately qualified physicians who participate in study design, preparations of protocols, reports, recruitment of volunteers, clinical trial procedures and publications of completed studies. To ensure that studies are conducted to ICH GCP, other relevant regulations and guidelines and in compliance with the protocol.
To provide medical education in the Unit.
To act as the main Principal Investigator for studies.
To actively support the Medical & Scientific Vice President.
To attend and present protocols at ethics committee meetings.

Qualifications:
Excellent experience within a pharmaceutical or CRO organisation
Full GMC registration with at least 3 years as a medical practitioner/clinical experience; intercalated or full science degree;
Post graduate medical qualifications (e.G. MRCP, MRCS/FRCS, MRCGP etc.) is preferable.
Experience in acting as a principal investigator for Phase 1 Studies including First-In-Man.
A post-graduate qualification Experience in clinical trial methodology.
Conversant with responsibilities under ICH GCP and other relevant regulations and guidelines covering the conduct of clinical research.
Being pro-active and able to work efficiently and effectively with a team.
Good communicator (in English) on medical and industry issues.
