OBJECTIVE:
Partners with senior leadership to proactively lead, define, implement and oversee Human Resources strategy, policies and activities within assigned functional groups. Coaches and supports functional head and senior-level management in all HR-related areas, identifies barriers to organizational success (organizational design, training, recruiting, compensation) and drives appropriate change. Primary functions include employee relations, compliance, recruitment, compensation, change management, organizational development, talent management, management coaching/consulting, performance management and training. Guides functional leadership in the development of departmental goals, objectives and systems that correspond with the organizational strategy. Educates and counsels management staff on employment laws and practices. Partners with other HR functions to identify, develop and deliver projects to align with business objectives and to address Takeda employee needs.
Accountabilities:
• Defines, models, and reinforces Takeda’s culture by ensuring that HR practices are aligned with organizational objectives.
• Acts as an advisor to client groups on organizational and human resource issues. In partnership with the management team, proactively identifies needs and develops and implements appropriate approaches, processes and tools.
• Project management and development of progams/processes to support overall effectiveness of Human Resources function.
• Serves as a coach to senior leadership team and managers to enhance leadership effectiveness and team dynamics.
• Provides counsel to management and employees on complex employee relations issues. Manages employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and work/performance issues and civil rights complaints while ensuring legal compliance, leveraging employee abilities and managing risk. Effectively investigates the issues and recommends appropriate action.
• Manages compensation issues unique to assigned client groups. In partnership with Compensation, proposes solutions to address compensation concerns. Manages compensation process for functional groups to include equity assessment, job description creation/updates/analysis and salary administration.
• Advises managers on recruitment and selection strategies. Partners with Staffing to ensure recruiting and hiring strategies are developed and executed for functional groups.
• Manages and develops internal and external resources, promoting the delivery of effective Human Resources services.
• In collaboration with Human Resources partners, identities ways to streamline processes, procedures and programs which support the overall business strategy. Acts as the liaison between HR and client groups, ensuring effective communication of information.
• Trains managers and employees on Human Resources policies, programs and procedures.

Education, Experience And Skills:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 8 years human resources generalist experience
O Ability to achieve high impact results.
O Experience facilitating organizational change.
O Experience coaching to multiple levels of management.
O Competencies required: ability to build effective work relationships; ability to persuade/influence; and strategic focus.
O Experience with recruitment and on-boarding a must!
• Preferred:
• Human Resources experience in the health care or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Travel Requirements:
• Ability to drive or fly to various meetings/ client sites – limited overnight. Some international travel may be required.
