Role purpose
The DP(I) and architecture group carries out international projects covering strategic and social planning, master planning, urban design and concept architecture, with staff based mainly in Dubai and London but also in other locations worldwide.
The principal function of this position is to support and strengthen a project- specific team by providing strategic infrastructure planning advice across the energy and water disciplines. The role also includes working closely with other members of the team to programme manage the preparation of a long term development framework for the future of Dubai.
Essence of role – key accountabilities
Your priorities in this role will include:
supporting the programme management team in the provision of strategic infrastructure planning advice focusing on the energy and water sectors
being responsible for reviewing energy and water sector technical papers provided by consultants
responding to ad hoc Client and Stakeholder requests for infrastructure planning advice
providing policy and technical inputs to programme management briefing notes and quality assurance reviews
attendance and advice at progress meetings, presentations and workshops
Job requirements - technical / professional expertise
The ideal candidate should possess a relevant degree in infrastructure engineering and planning, engineering economics, energy or water resource engineering or equivalent and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
sound knowledge of international best practices and innovatory techniques in infrastructure planning, energy and water sectors
meticulous and methodical approach to tasks
ability to complete tasks swiftly to meet tight deadlines
fluent in English (spoken and written)
ability to work within an integrated team structure of diverse nationalities and ethnic backgrounds
