Our business is rapidly growing a portfolio of prestigious projects in Qatar. To continue to meet our client commitments, we’re looking for the right people to join us. Based in Doha, you will be directly involved in the delivery of one of an increasing number of commissions we’re winning.
Key role objective
The principal function of this position is to lead the structural team in this particular location and assist business development in the field of Structural Engineering. Responsible to the market sector manager, you will ensure the successful delivery of structural design commissions through liaison with the leaders of multi-design disciplines.
Key responsibilities
The principal structural engineer will be responsible for:
Resource management including human resource management of structural engineering staff
Technical quality control of the structural commissions
Financial accountability
Establishing and maintaining strong client working relationships
Liaison with a multi-disciplinary design team
Monitoring and maintenance of an established cost plan model
Key requirements
Successful candidates should possess and be able to demonstrate:
A relevant Engineering Degree (civil or structural -membership of a professional institution desirable)
Experience and proven ability to lead and manage a team
Operational experience in a design and build environment
A personal commitment to work to tight deadlines while under pressure
Prior overseas experience advantageous but not essential
