Our client is an engineering and construction contractor ( Malaysian JV with an MNC) for the offshore Oil and Gas industry in Malaysia.
Contract Term : 1 Year

The Role:
Reporting to the Tendering Manager, the Estimating Engineer is responsible to establish the Project Cost Estimate in line with ITT requirements, Technical and Strategic decisions as well as White Book rules.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Proper implementation of full cost principle and latest White Book rules.
- Working with all other functions to establish the cost base with back up from the relevant authority (sign off).
- Implement in the Project Cost Estimate the decisions taken by the Tender team and Finance in relation to Forex risk mitigation strategy
- Set up of Spread day rates and review with Operations.
- Compare benchmark with existing or past projects.
- Implement tax rules based on Assessment of Tax Exposure Report.
- Issue proper Cash Flow Analysis and commitment curve.
- Set up of unit rates and relevant Tender deliverables.
- Set up of As Bid Costing Summary, which must include all back up for every costing element.
- Update and modify the Project Cost Estimate during clarification/negotiation phase with client and up to Contract Award.
- Set up of As Sold Costing Summary, which must include all back up for every costing element.
- Involvement in a cost data base / library development, as required
- Participate / Lead cost feed back session with on going and completed Projects |
| Capacités Requises: |
- Degree in Finance or Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in related field and 5 years in relevant position
- High Degree of computer literacy and good general knowledge of IM tools
- Proactive and positive to changes and challenges
- Proactive and open in communication with all interfacing parties
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and fluency in English.
