Group Planning Manager - UK/US Educated
Position Summary
Develops and puts together the planning for the entire group of companies. Assists in planning for project management, design, procurement and finance.
Essential Responsibilities
Project management & control responsibilities include development and implementation of Project Control Systems and Management Information Systems.
Development of master, design, construction, procurement and material submittal schedules, contingency planning, resource analysis, cost control techniques, cash flow requirements and reporting.
They also include contract administration through its main four items (committed and budgeted contracts, shop drawing and submittals, requisitions and change management) by means of good knowledge of FIDIC, International standards, contract conditions and latest computerized project control software.
Professional user/trainer of Primavera Project Planner (P3), Expedition (Contract Control & Claims) and other PM software.
Preparing & monitoring cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects.
Preparing Preliminary cost estimates from sketches and statements of requirements.
Studies architectural & engineering drawings and specification using knowledge of building construction methods, materials and labour cost, to estimate total costs.
Preparing detailed cost plans and estimates as tools for budgetary control.
Preparing lists of items and producing bills of quantities for tendering purposes.
Monitoring changes of design and assesses effects on costs.
Preparing final cost statements.
Consulting with architects, builders and engineers.
Measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs.
Advising on costs of alterations to existing buildings or structures, on various materials and construction methods, and on alternative contractual procedures and clauses.
Supervising and co-ordination for electromechanical, steel work and special construction work.
Designing all concrete constructions (multi-stories buildings, tanks, swimming pools, special structures)
Designing both of steel & composite structures.
Using & teaching all designing software (ANSYS, COSMOS/M, SAP-Nonlinear)

| Capacités Requises: |
Civil Engineering graduate; at least 8 years related experience within the construction contracting sector; UK/US educated; native English speaker; proficiency in the use of Primavera Project Planner (P3), Expedition (Contract Control and Claims) and other Project Management and Designing software such as ANSYS, COSMOS/M, SAP-nonlinear); with at least 5 years Middle East or GCC experience; high level of motivation & drive and excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
