Job Title Plasterboard Plant Manager Job-holder

Purpose statement
The Plant Manager is responsible for directing, leading, and managing all plant activities in a manner commensurate with both SG Best Practice and World Class Manufacturing methodologies.
He or she is specifically responsible for the key areas of health & safety, environment, quality, customer service, and production efficiency. He or she is also responsible for managing company resources to continuously improve performance, reduce operating costs generating increased profit potential.
Key Accountabilities
1 To promote, develop and ensure the health, safety and welfare of all employees and visitors through the proactive implementation of both company and BPB best practices as a minimum.
2 To ensure all subordinates are fully briefed, counseled, trained and developed to meet department
And business objectives.
3 To ensure that all customer service requirements are met and surpassed through the provision of the highest product quality, effective logistic and customer management.
4 To initiate and implement, short, medium and long term projects that provide continuous improved plant performance towards meeting Best Practice KPI targets.
5 To conduct and deliver continuous cost reduction throughout the entire site operations, proposing, implementing and controlling all plant expenditure, giving rise to year on year product cost
Savings, in line with company objectives and commitments.
6 To lead the plant and employees in the World Class Manufacturing programme, ensuring optimum plant and employee productivity
7 To assist in the co-ordination, design and realization of the site capacity expansion working with both local and overseas engineering and technical functions.

Academic Background
Degree Holder in an Engineering Discipline or related
Post Graduate qualification in Business Management
Experience & Age Must demonstrate successes within a senior operationally based environment. Age Range = 35 – 45
Multinational Cement Manufacturing or multinational continuous process industry.
