Our client in Sweden is an international vendor of telecom Core Network, Radio Access and Terminal equipment. For an immediate start they are seeking a freelance consultant with specific knowledge in the area of Packet Core Network and with a background gained from relevant research posts.
Responsibilities:
• Senior Standard Delegate for 3GPP SA2, CT1 or NGMN forum
Or
• Leading research in relevant projects, Packet Core Network innovation (especially SAE)
• Researching, cooperating with industry (e.g. operators, commercial and non-commercial research institutes and vendors) to ensure client is at the leading edge of new developments. This contact work may be through workshops, face to face meeting and online collaboration etc.
• Finding and breaking out new key technologies (whether by demonstration through research papers, or perhaps prototypes), This would include proposals for the products future development.
• Further, part of the brief includes the possibility of bringing such innovation to the appropriate technical standard and perhaps action to make a leading standard and to develop and apply for the necessary patents.

| Capacités Requises: |
Qualifications Required:
• More than 8 years experience in Core Network Domain control layer(e.g. Packet Core Network) with at least 3 years in SAE or GPRS design, development or research.
• Thorough understanding technologies such as 2G, 3G mobile core network, Internet application and Multi-media application over Packet Core Network.
• More than three years experience in research work. It would be desirable that the applicant should have operated as a technical leader or main participant, in at least one large or middle scale research project.
• Experience in FP6/FP7 is welcome
Preferred Candidates will possess the following skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills as well as a team player.
• Familiarity with research methodologies, system requirement analysis, and architecture design, extensive understanding of mature architecture models in industry |
