Working as a Software Engineer either on Windows Mobile Team or Handset Platform), the job’s main purpose is to provide a competent
level of technical authority and analysis of one or more technical skill areas within
theClient`s Handset Platform Project Team / Windows Mobile Team. This includes taking high level
technical responsibility within R&D Telecoms for the tasks allocated.
Essential Job Functions (for both roles)
Under the guidance of the Team Manager, the jobholder is expected to perform (but
is not limited to) the following tasks:
1. Develop and Implement areas of functionality and technology towards the
requirements of Samsung’s Samsung Handset Platform projects for European
telecommunications operators.
2. Have responsibility for one or more significant sections of the assigned
project and carry out, with minimal supervision, the assigned work.
3. Support specific areas of functionality in developments both at R&D
and other locations in collaboration external partners.
4. Assist the other team members with their work, technically supporting
some junior software engineers within the team
5. Production of both high quality code and written reports to R&D and
standards where required.
6. Keep abreast of new developments and techniques in Telecommunications
required for wireless mobile communications field.
7. Timely provision of written reports, following the attendance of meetings
and resulting from other activities undertaken as appropriate.
8. To work as a member of a team, encouraging team building, motivation and
cultivate effective team relations.
9. Support the Team Manager in continuous development of the methods and
processes.

cost effectiveness, time scales and the needs of the Company.

Requirements for Handset Platform (quote : SG02)
Master degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics or similar
Acceptable others if they have appropriate required competencies
M.In. 3 years of experience in programming embedded devices in C/C++
M.In. 3 years of experience in implementation of projects related to information
Technology
M.In. 3 years of experience in real-time systems programming
English language (reading technical documentation, verbal and written
Communication)
Low-level programming in RTOS
Knowledge of Multimedia (Audio & Visual), Browsers (Web, WAP, iMode), Streaming
Media (video, audio), Web 2.0, LBS, TCP/IP, USB
Knowledge of HLD, LLD
Knowledge of hardware (memory, display etc.)
Knowledge of phone 2G, 3G software
Requirements for Windows Mobile (quote: SG03)

Knowledge of GIS, LBS, database and internet technologies (ASP.Net, Java Script,
