Our Client is in need of Sr. Engineer – Supply management.
Main Accountabilities:
• Broad experience in Project purchasing related to Electrical engineering/ Utility industry (Transmission & Distribution segment)
• Floating enquiries
• Evaluation of quotes received
• Commercial terms & conditions – evaluation
• Presenting final comparison statement
• Understanding of price variable parameters
• Placement of POs
• Periodical Vendor assessment/ approval
• Continuous Vendor evaluation in terms of quality , price & Deliveries
• Price trends of various transmission & distribution products
• Strategic purchasing like rate contracts, alliances etc., for various products like lugs, glands and erection consumables
• Supplier relationships
• Ensure receipt of material at site on time
• Co-ordination with project engineers
• Co-ordination with design engineers
Responsible for implementation of established purchasing processes
Dimensions:
Size of the projects to be managed: Up to 400 KV substations (300MAED)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Negotiating skills
• Cultural skills ( behavior/ selling patterns of various countries)
• Logistics skills
• Commercial & Legal skills
• Computer/ ERP ( procurement module) proficiency
• Knowledge of international purchasing regulations- INCO terms etc.,
• Knowledge/ experience in Project/ Engineering products related to Transmission & Distribution/ Utility industry
• Vendor/ supplier knowledge in Gulf region
