| Description: |
1. Prepare, manage and place insurance quotations and coverages required for EllisDon projects on a timely basis.
2. Manage data to appropriately track and report to insurance carriers.
3. Ensure requests for Certificates of Insurance and other items are processed on a timely basis.
4. Review policies for accuracy and coverage. Order policy changes as required providing adequate and necessary coverage for new locations and exposures.
5. Ensure certificates received from Owners are reviewed to ensure their insurance complies with EllisDon standards and contract requirements.
6. Constantly improve and update procedures and processes to ensure excellent delivery of all insurance services.
7. Assist in the annual renewal process for Corporate Insurance.
8. Assist in claims management and reporting as required.
9. Work with Costing, Subcontracting and Trade/Accounting with project issues.
10. Maintain on-going contact with area offices to discuss any new insurance procedures, answer ongoing issues relating to project insurance, and provide assistance whenever necessary.
11. In conjunction with the Director, communicate regularly and effectively with Estimators, Project Managers, Supervisors, and others necessary to manage EllisDon’s insurance program.
12. Communicate with legal department for both contract reviews and any claims assistance they may require.
13. Work cooperatively with broker and carriers to deliver excellent quality service. |
| Capacités Requises: |
. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience handling commercial insurance, preferably including construction/contracting insurance experience.
2. University degree preferred, ideally with both CIP and CRM designations.
3. Attitude – commitment to great customer service, continuous improvement, honesty and integrity.
4. Organizational/Multi Task Skills – ability to manage one’s time effectively and to manage multiple routine detail matters while attending to occasional strategic/complex matters.
5. Leadership/Management Skills – proven experience in providing managing people; strong implementation skills; occasional overnight travel may be required.
6. Technical Skills – recognized as an expert in the field, familiar with common wordings including CCDC and IBC wordings; solid understanding of contracts and indemnities.
7. Relationship Skills - ability to develop and sustain positive and co-operative working relationships with a broad variety of manages and partners within the Company.
8. Communication Skills – superior oral and written communication skills required; must be able to confidently deal with a wide diversity of people.
9. Computer Skills – Proficiency in Excel and Word, comfortable with new technologies and automated processes.
