Our client is a privately held, family owned and operated company. They are a major grower, packer, distributor, and exporter supplying the retail, food service, canning and frozen food manufacturing industries nationally and internationally.
The company has experienced tremendous growth and now occupies six production facilities throughout the United States.
Their City of Industry facility seeks a Plant Manager which responsibilities include:
To ensure proper function of entire facility, meeting all expectations set forth by company. Coordinating daily functions of all plant departments thereby maintain efficiency levels to achieve optimum results.
Objectives: Essential Functions/Duties:
1. Closely review production operations to ensure optimum efficiency is being achieved with the objective of reducing overall operating costs.
2. Manage raw materials, in-process and finished goods inventories. Ensure manufacturing goals are consistent with inventory levels/turnover goals and coordinate month-end inventories.
3. Develop and monitor productions schedule, shipping schedule, and coordinate production activities between shifts and other functions.
4. Maintain a clean and overall safe facility, ensuring procedures are being followed as expected and training carried out for the protection of each employee and the company.
5. Monitor plant output, to ensure efficient resource utilization and initiate corrective action as required.
6. regularly review company GMP’S and Procedures to ensure all plant employees are following guidelines and are regularly being trained as per company requirements.
7. Regular review and monitoring of departmental budgets to ensure costs are controlled and maintained.
8. Assist in developing capital expenditure recommendations.
9. Insure that all plant assets are properly managed and safe guarded.
10. Closely review and monitor Maintenance Department to make certain all machinery is in good working order and necessary parts are available to climinate potential downtime.
11. Staff, develop, and control the Production team, evaluate performance, and initiate corrective actions as required.
12. Insure that operations conform to federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations.
13. Insure that plant operations are consistent with OSHA, LA Health, other agencies and customer’s, policies, practices, and procedures.
14. Develop and implement specific plant policies/procedures as required.
15. Control and monitoring of payroll for plant employees.
16. Foster a well-trained and motivated staff to meet production levels and goals.
17. Conduct employee performance reviews.
18. Attend schedule corporate training and meetings.
19. Establish and maintain a positive community relationship.
20. Perform other duties as required.
21. Prepare various reports as required.

| Capacités Requises: |
Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
Minimum Education-Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent is defined as four yeas as a Production Manager for non degree individuals).
Minimum Experience required –Minimum of two (2) years satisfactory performance as a Production Manager or equivalent.
Responsibility and Authority:
Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and employees, and proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing, and speaking. Demonstrated ability in the use of computers and business related software and the ability to understand and use financial information; to organize, to prioritize work and to be mobile in the work environment and to be capable of handing a fluid schedule.
Supervisory: All department managers report to this position.
