| Job Description: |
1. Maintain and update Microsoft Administration standards to ensure most efficient and reliable environmental aspects of a operating system and database including recoverability, integrity, security, availability and performance on a global basis. Provide focus on sustaining and monitoring of key administrative services on Microsoft Platform.
2. Manage & lead the implementation of projects and initiatives related to Microsoft Platform administration in line with the industry best practices. Identify best practice solutions (hw/sw) to automate / enhance systems administration procedures, or to resolve audit findings.
3. Develop and update operating manuals for all IT systems and ensure adequate training.
4. Provide 2nd line of technical support and expertise to different group entities for all IT systems and solutions.
5. Development of standard scripts to automate daily/periodic administration or diagnostics procedures.
6. Identify reporting tools and using standard management systems (i.E. HP openview, MSS 2007, compliance systems etc..) to proactively identify system administration gaps and issues.
7. Maintain Window 2003, SQL 2005, Exchange 2007, and other servers.
8. Perform analysis of Windows and Exchange environment and contributes to existing design model, architecture, integration, and installation.
9. Manage Exchange server for unwanted emails and viruses.
10. Migrate, replicate, backs-up, and restore database.
11. Create and maintain user login identification (userid) information.
12. Ensure workstation server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate hardware/software solutions.
13. Analyze performance problems and recommends solutions to enhance functionality, reliability, and/or usability.
14. Monitor system performance, gather data, and prepare management reports.
15. Audits hardware and software inventory to ensure their integrity as well as licensing compliance.
16. Coordinate the communication of security practices between remote sites and maintains consistency of established procedures.
Skills Required: MSCE or MSCA qualified
1. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft intensive infrastructures to include Microsoft SQL server; Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007.
2. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Security, recovery tools and patch management .
3. Setting Policies and Standards for MS Infrastructure Administration.
4. Good understanding of upgrade/migration processes
5. Clustered Microsoft SQL server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007.
6. Experience in a secure DMZ environment, MCSE, Citrix, MOM, SMS, Public Key Infrastructure, DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP.
7. Ability to work in a team, Verbal & written communication.
8. Ability to deal with high profile clients, Inquisitiveness and willingness to learn new technology.
