Description: Position Overview:
•This position will support Century Construction, SRL’s project based in Romania. The Project Engineer will function as Romania’s Sr. Project Engineer and will be responsible for maintaining and managing all aspects of the international office location.

Primary Job Functions:
•Leads new business development efforts, such as performing research and networking functions in order to identify potential projects and clients
•Leads project team(s) and facilitates the communication and interaction amongst members
•Establishes project objectives through a business plan utilizing the guidelines and performance standards within the boundaries of The Judlau Companies’ corporate policies
•Plans, staffs, and supervises all project activities
•Oversees monthly projections of costs on all jobs
•Monitors cost analysis activities on a routine basis
•Tracks project against schedule, budget and phase review objectives, reporting status to Judlau Executive Management as required
•Develops and implements recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated events
•Has active involvement and oversight of preparation for qualification hearing for lowest bidder projects or presentations as required for invitation to bid or design build projects
•Oversees buyout and transition of a project from bid through hand off to project management team
•Obtains necessary job information from Estimator
•Works with the Estimator during the estimating phase
•Prepares all subcontracts and purchase orders
•Reviews and becomes familiar with all contract specifications, schedules, alternates, etc.
•Coordinates preconstruction meetings
•Secures progress schedules
•Obtains any applicable or required building permits
•Ensures contract compliance
•Monitors and administers all change orders
•Prepares any reports required by specifications
•Monitors the delivery of items provided by vendors
•Coordinates and attends all project and final walk-thru meetings
•Monitors and updates progress schedules
•Prepares and submits all required project close-out submittals
•Compiles all job data upon completion of project, i.e. review of actual vs. estimated costs;
•Coordinates with clients, through marketing and business development efforts, to provide necessary project status and obtain client feedback
•Works with the Superintendent to support the construction of the project

Other Job Functions:
•Recommends and leads efforts to improve existing processes in an effort to improve quality and on-time delivery
•Resolves conflicts amongst team members
•Provides feedback regarding employee performance and conducts performance evaluation sessions
•The Project Engineer will work interchangeably with the Supervisor to ensure that all project tasks and contract requirements are satisfied
Capacités Requises: Qualifications and Requirements:
•Computer knowledge must include experience in the following functional areas:
oDocument control log maintenance
oElectronic scheduling (i.e. Primavera P3 or higher)
oCost/estimating program (i.e. HCSS)
oSpreadsheet creation and maintenance (i.e. Microsoft Excel)
oWord processing (i.e. Microsoft Word)
oEmail
•Ability to understand, track, and question activities and issues in all areas and make sound business decisions based upon data acquired
•Strong influence-management, negotiation, leadership and assertiveness skills preferred
•Strong presentation skills preferred
•Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills required
•Knowledge of project management tools and procedures preferred
•Prior supervisory experience required
•General knowledge of operations, including scheduling, procurement, test engineering, and quality system checks
•General knowledge of finance, including ability to read and understand financial data
•General knowledge of marketing and business development, including market research, market sizing, pricing, communications, and project launch

Education and/or Training (degrees, licenses, certifications):
•4-year Engineering degree with prior experience in the construction industry
•7-10 years of experience is required
