| Description: |
Main purpose of position:
Provide management and technical skills for the civils team for the facilities. This will include for all normal infrastructural works associated with an industrial process development including stormwater, oily water reticulations, roads and platform base designs.
Key Result Areas / Responsibilities:
• Liaise with other Lead Engineers of the various disciplines to integrate with the design process
• Comply with the various reporting and commercial procedures and milestone that are required timeously
• The Lead Civil Engineer is responsible for the management of their engineering team and to ensure that all technical documentation is executed in accordance with the project requirement for quality
• The Lead Civil Engineer shall be appointed as the responsible person for ensuring that all work complies with legal requirements and standards
• Sign-off all calculations and drawings, with his professional registration number clearly indicated on all documents
• Responsibility and commensurate authority to plan and direct, subject to the approval of the Engineering Manager, the mobilisation and demobilisation of personnel to ensure availability of suitably qualified engineers, technicians and Draughtsman
• Prepare a list of engineering deliverables and indicating the hours required per document, to permit the planning and control of the engineering budget
• Prepare all technical documentation required for the execution of the project
• Manage and coordinate progress of the engineering work in accordance with the project scope, schedule and procedures
• Maybe required to monitor the construction work to ensure that it is executed in accordance with the engineering design
• Attend various meetings |
| Capacités Requises: |
• B Sc Civil Degree
• Professional Registration with ECSA
• 10 years experience
• Experience as a Lead Civil Engineer design/consultancy ideally within a similar large engineering or multi-disciplinary project will be beneficial. |
