System Analyst, prefer at least 2 years working exp. in the Insurance
Ind.
Overall Purpose
The System Analyst has the responsibility for analyzing, developing and
documenting customer business requirements and translating those
requirements into IT solutions to solve business issues and/or needs. The
System Analyst provides technical assistance to the Project Manager and
Technical Lead in the development of Business Cases to support customer
requirements. The System Analyst frequently meets with business analysts and
technical staff to obtain information regarding the objectives of the
business as they relate to projects and the resolution of production issues.
System analysts work closely with Project Managers and technical leads.
They are the key interface between the customer and the project team for the
requirement phase of a project.

- gap analysis - identifying gaps in current system functionality and
required functionality for simple, small scale changes
-identify alternatives for satisfying requests of small initiatives
the creation of business specification, functional specification documents
-manage assigned work to meet deadlines
-may work under guidance of intermediate or senior systems analysts on
medium to large projects
may perform quality assurance testing
