Administration Specialist/Advisor I
Description of duties
The Administration Specialist/Advisor I is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading tasks and projects for the entire administrative life cycle for the U.S. Embassy in Iraq and Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRT) and Embedded Provincial Reconstruction Teams (EPRT) throughout Iraq. The Administrative Specialist/Advisor I will provide advisory services and Subject Matter Expertise through training, coaching and mentoring to Iraqi workforce personnel.
The Administration Specialist/Advisor I will provide Administrative support to the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, PRTs and EPRTs by providing timely and correct Administrative advice to team members by applying Administrative processes and management skills to plan and execute Administrative activities. Key activities include: serving as a lead and/or advisor in developing Administrative program plans, administrative milestone documentation, and associated briefings; developing and implementing program plans; preparing related Administrative documentation for program executive decisions and milestone approvals; supporting analyses, studies, problem identification and resolution, and policy development/implementation; expertly applying administrative knowledge to prepare, counsel, advise and mentor the Iraqi workforce in required administrative duties.

• Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with senior level government managers and teammates during periods of high stress and tight deadlines
• Superb skills in standard U.S DoS Software Systems (e.g., Microsoft Suite of Tools)
• Ability to work long hours under challenging and situations independently
3) Years of Direct Experience
Minimum two (2) years of experience in administrative support in the federal arena
4) Educational Requirements
Some college preferred
5) Security Clearance Requirements
Employment may be contingent upon granting or confirmation of security clearance. May be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
