Our client, a MNC involved in Oil and Gas Exploration and Production activities worldwide. In Malaysia, they are one of the PSC operators and the fastest growing organisation in the Oil & Gas industry within the region.

Key Responsibilities:
1.1. Responsible for Safe, efficient Production Operations in deep water Malaysia
1.2. Responsible for ensuring that Production requirements and safe Production operating practices and procedures, comply with the company's Management System while meeting all environmental and legislative requirements.
1.3. Responsible for meeting production objectives
2. Principal Accountabilities
• Manage the deep water Production Operations in a safe and responsible manner
• Liaise with offshore and onshore production crews, support groups and Project, ensuring good communication levels are maintained and provide Operations input into all phases of the Kikeh and other future Projects
• Conversant with all relevant safety codes and operating procedures ensuring that these are followed and improved to ensure that the safety of all operations is maintained.
• In conjunction with onshore support groups and Project Group assist in planning and coordinating all major activities.
• Evaluate simultaneous operations and their impact on the integrity of the field facilities ensuring procedures are in place to action and respond effectively to any situation.
• Have knowledge of all limitations to the technical integrity of the facilities and be conversant with all inspection activities required to maintain facility integrity.
• Responsible for ensuring that training and development requirements for facility personnel are met with any inadequacies being addressed in consultation with support groups as required.
3. SAFETY Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Deputy Production Manager are:
• Shared responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of all persons at the Operations Site, including staff, contractors and visitors and for local environmental safety.
• Manage the activities and operational work program as supervised by the appropriate Supervisors. Ensuring that the operations and work activities are performed in accordance with the applicable Management System, Policies, Procedures, work instructions and regulatory requirements.
• Motivate, consult with and ensure the participation of the Production team and visiting contractors, in the ongoing development and implementation of safety at the workplace.
• Ensure that all Production / Process equipment contractors and vendors who perform standard and specialist work in the field are made aware of their responsibilities for managing health, safety and emergency response.
• Undertake safety inspections of Process plant and equipment and effect prompt closeout of any non-conformances or corrective actions identified.
• Ensure that all Process related corrective actions and non-conformances identified and placed on the safety action item list, are prioritized according to hazard ranking, actioned, and closed out.
• Ensure regular inspections and all maintenance requirements are performed on Process equipment and Emergency Shut-down Systems.
• Report all accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences to the Production Manager. Ensure reports are legible, comprehensive and timely, and any additional information pertinent to the report is attached as per Management System Procedure.
• Review and approve, Process related Modification Work and Change, Requests as the Production representative in accordance with Management System Procedure.
• Attend and actively encourage the “Positive Attitude Safety System” (PASS) and other safety initiatives as per HSE Guidelines.
4. Working Relationship
• Production Manager, other Managers, Production Staff, Procurement, Development Engineering and other groups.
• Project Team personnel.
• On board short-term contract and technical staff and all visitors.
• Good relations must be maintained with personnel on all facilities.

| Capacités Requises: |
Mandatory
a. A minimum of 15 years experience in hydrocarbon production industry environment in a supervisory/management capacity.
b. A minimum of 5 years experience associated with hydrocarbon production and offshore production floating facilities in a supervisory/management/OIM capacity.
c. Previous employment history in a multi-national environment.
d. Strong personal and interpersonal skills with flexibility to meet the fluctuating needs of Field Operations.
e. Strong communication skills for working with, understanding and motivating personnel.
f. Strong team building skills.
g. A sound knowledge of the business drivers affecting Murphy Sabah.
h. Specific knowledge of oil production, rotating equipment, water injection and gas compression.
i. Sound knowledge of Project, Construction and Commissioning activities, with previous experience in one or more construction sites.
j. Sound knowledge of training and technology transfer issues in Malaysian environment.
k. Valid BOSET / HUET training.
l. Control of Major Emergencies training.
