This position exists to work in tandem with Marketing & Sales to find personnel for contract employment in all regions of the globe. The main industry sector of focus for this position will be Oil & Gas (Energy) Exploration & production (E&p).
The aim of the Recruiter is to find personnel for identified client needs and to find personnel for potential client needs that the Marketing & Sales personnel can bring to the attention of potential and existing clients.
Primarily the position will seek out western expatriates for positions and potential positions but the need may arise from time to time to source third country nationals for positions depending upon client needs.
Key Job Functions:
Identify candidates as requested by Marketing & Sales
Examine personnel for competency, validate skills and experience
Liaise with external advertising companies to place recruitment advertisements in appropriate platforms/vehicles globally
Work closely with Sales & Marketing to ensure the client needs are met.
Develop and implement Contractor agreements
Tasks, Responsibilities And Accountabilities:
Identify candidates as requested by Marketing & Sales:
Ensure a clear and thorough understanding is achieved of client contractor needs
Using contacts and advertising source candidates across a cross section of positions
Interview personnel for roles (existing and potential)
Maintain a database of all candidates (Contracted and potentially contracted) to assist in prompt response to client needs
Examine personnel for competency, validate skills and experience:
Maintain a file of all correspondence, CV’s, reference checks, interviews, certificates and other relevant documents used in the recruitment process.
Use client templates to interview, reference check and test the appropriateness of a candidate for our marketing to clients.
Use phone conversation and web cam to interview candidates
Check validity, authenticity and currency of certificates and diplomas.
Create client template CV’s for submission to clients once a suitable candidate has been identified to meet client expectations.
Liaise with external advertising companies to place recruitment advertisements in appropriate platforms/vehicles globally:
Create accounts with appropriate advertising and CV database companies
Develop and submit job advertisements as requested by Marketing & Sales
Discuss best advertising vehicles with Marketing & Sales internally and externally
Use advertising as a marketing exposure tool when recruiting to show client as a large global industry player
Work closely with Sales & Marketing to ensure the client needs are met:
Liaise with Marketing & Sales to understand their daily, weekly and monthly client and speciality targets
Obtain a copy of the PD and other expectations for the clients requested position(s)
Ensure a thorough understanding of key issues including:
Commencement, contract duration, location, salary range, skill and competency issues
Develop and implement Contractor agreements:
Develop and ensure signing of Contractor Agreements/Contracts in ALL cases using the templates provided (Recruiter will have authority to sign on behalf of client.
Ensure all aspects of the Agreement/Contract are adhered to and met.
When directed, make payroll payments and control invoicing
Liaise closely with Marketing & Sales to ensure profitability of the contract being entered into.
Skills And Experience Required/preferred:
Required:
Recognised qualification in Recruitment, Engineering or HR
2+yrs Recruiter functional experience.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
Good data management skills and demonstrated computer software literacy.
Excellent grasp of English language (Written & Verbal)
Highly Motivated Self Starter.
Preferred:
Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry
Knowledge of Drilling, Completions and Workover Operations, in onshore, offshore and remote areas.
Authorities:
This position will in most cases act quite independently and will therefore be empowered to make decisions about the contract value, profitability and contract inclusions.
The following are the authorities of the Recruiter:
Approval of Director or Financial Controller:
Any one time expenditure over Us$1,000
Expenditure that will take total monthly expenditure over US$2,000.
Salary Payments
Invoice Payments greater than 70% before the due date
All outgoing invoices
Reducing the profit margin to Net less than 5%
Fully Authorised:
Advertising expenditure up to US$1,000 (One off) and under US$2,000 for the month
Due invoices
Reducing the profit margin to Net between 5% and 10%
Critical System Access:
Access to company bank accounts (On Line)
Access to company positional email and internet
Access to full history of company financial statements and previous contracts inclusions |
