The company
My client is involved in many of the largest and most technically demanding projects in the UK and worldwide.
The Foundations and Geotechnics division is involved in a wide range of sectors throughout the world including transport, buildings, energy, coastal and water. The disciplines employed range in scope from geotechnical engineering, foundation engineering and engineering geology to coastal engineering.
These are long-term career opportunities presenting scope to become involved in some of the global Tunnel Engineering projects and contribute to this exciting time of my client’s growth and development
Job description
Due to continued growth my client are looking to employ Geotechnical/Geology Engineers to join their successful teams internationally. These are excellent opportunities to work with a wide range of public and private sector clients on some key and major projects.
Responsibilities will include:
•Lead, manage and ensure delivery of Geotechnical Engineering projects and coordinate other engineering disciplines including, structural, environmental, and mechanical and electrical engineers.
•Project management, delivery with effective and efficient client orientated solutions.
•Responsible for the production of design solutions, reports, specifications and drawings, covering a range of project requirements from new build to modification, maintenance and refurbishment.
•Become integral to the division’s operations and contribute to the business and the team’s technical development.
•Contribute to project’s risk assessment and report results as necessary.
•Assist in the management of new graduate/junior engineers supporting their development and capability.
•Employ sustainability within projects.

| Capacités Requises: |
Requirements
•Good academic background with degree qualified (or equivalent), ideally in civil engineering or geology first degree. A masters/PhD degree in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology related disciplines will benefit any applicant.
•Chartered status, ideally with 5+ years of post chartership experience and seeking to expand and maximize career opportunities.
•Experience of working on multiple concurrent commissions, ideally within a consultancy environment.
•Capable of representing the company to clients professionally and with technical confidence.
•Technical geotechnical/geological engineering skills at a high level
•Strong project management skills and experience.
•Be innovative looking to develop their technical and management skills and the willingness to tackle any challenge
•A ‘can do’ attitude with full awareness of team working and project checking and approval procedures.
