Our client is searching for a Division Director to perform the following tasks:
1. Develop and strategically plan the growth and success of the division
2. Responsible for the day to day operation impacting the business, the staff, the clients and contacts (internal and external).
3. Assume executive director responsibilities for managed insurance companies where a board position is held.
4. Attend board meetings in Gibraltar which will involve reviewing the budget, business plan and company strategy and participating in the decision making process of issues that are material to the business.
5. Liaise with existing clients, ensuring that tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently and reporting as appropriate on any matters that need to be addressed.
6. Develop new business opportunities, reporting into and making recommendations to the board. Participate in the preparation of new insurance company applications.
7. Undertake underwriting and claims audits of client portfolios, taking the opportunity to mentor employees making up the audit team, where appropriate. Prepare reports for management and clients with recommendations as appropriate.
8. Provide technical insurance input as appropriate.
9. Keep FIM abreast of insurance market intelligence and changes to rules and regulations.
10. Review draft client company’s board and board sub-committee minutes, providing input as necessary
11. Other tasks and projects as agreed with the board.
12. Act as line manager, coach and mentor for staff
