Job Description:
Summary: Develops business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for assigned product line(s). Maintains current status of customer requirements for existing and future products. Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives. This position requires interaction with other company departments such as design, applications engineering, sales, manufacturing, and finance, and significant customer interaction.
Essential Functions: - Manages product marketing for mixed signal IC products throughout the entire product life-cycle including strategic and tactical activities such as product definition, pricing, promotion, and key customer support. - Works with other departments within the division, including applications and design, to promote technical vision of product and to enhance existing product lines. - Tracks and verifies product forecasts, revenue, and financial performance. - Performs market research and monitors competitive activity. - Develops and implements product roadmaps, marketing strategies, training, and product launch plans. - Creates collateral and presentations and makes presentations to other departments and customers. - Drives commercial success through product definition, competitive positioning, pricing, and promotional activities and by working closely with other departments, including engineering, manufacturing and sales. - Defines products by translating customer needs into technical specifications for the product development teams. - Analyzes and manages potential partner or key customer relationships and, work with Legal to negotiate supply, partnership, and/or IP license agreements. - Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. - Normally receives little or no instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. - Other duties as required.
Qualifications: Education and/or Experience: - BSEE (or equivalent training), MBA preferred - 3+ years of industry experience, 5+ years and background in telecommunications preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Advanced understanding of IC architectures, software and mixed signal products - Technical understanding of VoIP, SLIC and DAA circuits and standards preferred - Ability to interact with engineers on a technical level - Excellent English communication & presentation skills (written and verbal), other languages are a plus - Strong customer interface skills - Familiarity with demand planning tools (Adexa) and business management software (SAP) - Familiarity with quality procedures and documentation - Proficiency in MS Office or equivalent
