Job Title Senior Accountant Office
Department Finance and Administration Grade: D
Reports to Chief Accountant & Head of Finance and Administration
Job purpose
To support the Finance and Administration Department to perfomr Banking, Payroll and other accounting tasks.
Duties - include but are not limited to …
• Perform all banking transactions such as salary transfer, telex, cheque payments
• Assist the Chief Accountant to finalise the company financial statements monthly.
• Maintain all the general and project insurance policies.
• Process & follow up all bank guarantees.
• Calculate and determine staff Overtime and TOIL.
• Generate all letters for Bank transfers, Sub consultants fees, Payroll transfer, cheque book request, etc.
• Data input for all the cheque payments, Telex transfers, Receipt vouchers daily.
• Telebank bank statements and exchange rates daily.
• Hold and safe keep all backup computer data & items of confidential nature.
• Issue offical company receipts and cheque books.
• Produce salary deductions and pay slips for employees.
• Generate future posting journals for expenses, guarantees and prepayments.
