| Description: |
We are urgently looking for a Area Leader (Electrical Engineer) for Secunda.
Purpose of the Job: To enable Synfuels long term goals through the application of sound electrical engineering standards and practises.
Specific experience required:
• Knowledge and experience in applying governance with reference to the Client’s Electrical specifications
• Applying strategic thinking to enable and develop equipment strategies pertaining to Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Client’s Electrical Policies and Work Procedures
• Ability and experience to approve electrical engineering designs
• Knowledge of high/Medium and Low voltage distribution networks with related PMC schemes
• Knowledge of Industrial electrical rotating machines
• Knowledge of the OHS act governing electrical installations
• Development and execution of capital and renewal strategies for ageing equipment to reduce risk of plant outages
• Knowledge of distribution networks and reticulation systems up to 132kV
Required outputs: Functional
• Define and roll out functional replacement strategies for ageing/unreliable electrical equipment
• Integrated roll with plant maintenance teams to ensure Electrical plant equipment integrity
• Sound application of Management Of Change on Electrical equipment
• Guide project outcomes by managing decision taking forums
• Technology service support and delivery
• Create and manage a self learning environment through active promotion of thought leadership
• Minimizing electrical energy consumption and waste through sound engineering practises
• Governance of electrical engineering standards and specifications by ensuring compliance by all parties involved
• Sound contractor management
• Create a motivational work environment
• Management of Electrical projects and renewal budgets to support Synfuels objectives
Qualifications and expertise required
B Electrical Engineering or BSc Electrical Engineering (Must)
MBA/MBL
Government Certificate of Competency
ECSA Registration for Professional Engineers
