So how do you help shape the direction of a pioneering zero carbon, zero waste sustainable city? Demonstrate a significant track record in high-tech parks, green developments and similar technology intensive developments, with at least seven years in a managerial position designing and supervising large urban mixed use developments. Show evidence that you can design, promote and administer city plans and policies affecting land use, zoning, public utilities, community facilities, housing and transportation. Understand the effects of regulatory limitations on a project such as this, as you will need to assure that the masterplan is in every way in line with applicable regulations and policies, as well as set sustainability targets. Your education? A degree in urban planning, accredited qualification desirable. If the project itself does not entice you enough, an excellent package of benefits will be provided on top of your basic salary.
