| Description: |
Responsibility: You will join the region’s market leader as a Mechanical Engineer where you will be responsible for mechanical engineering matters on-site as well as overseeing and guiding approvals of testing of all mechanical items and equipment.
The principle activities for this role are:
• Assist in Contract Administration when requested by the Resident Engineer.
• Providing technical training to the inspection staff as required.
• Reviewing and action of the Contractor`s submittals and shop drawings.
• Reviewing and preparing draft answers for Mechanical related correspondence and RFI`s for the site Resident Engineer.
• Ensuring correctness and completeness of As Built drawings in coordination with the CAD staff.
• Observing site safety procedures, report violations and hazards to the Resident Engineer.
Qualification: To be considered candidates will need to satisfy the following selection criteria:
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University with Professional Engineering Registration from a recognised Professional Institution.
• Minimum 12 years demonstrable experience in design and supervision of construction of sewerage and drainage projects but with particular emphasis on sewage pumping stations and pressure pipelines.
• Must have ability to utilise computer technology to access data, maintain records and generate reports.
• Prior experience in the Gulf Region would be advantageous.
