This leading Hospital is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist for a permanent role based in Doha, Qatar.
MAJOR Duties And Responsibilities
• Act in accordance with the organisation’s quality system.
• Collection of blood and other specimens required for pathology testing from in-patients and outpatients
• Observe and protect the right to dignity, privacy and respect for all patients.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Understand and comply with the principles of infection control and other relevant standards.
• Communicate coherently with medical, nursing and other staff concerning relevant services and policies.
• Perform data entry, word processing, statistic collation and other clerical duties as required.
• Where directed, assist in the administrative and educational aspects of the service.
• Maintain familiarity with departmental method, policy, procedure and other relevant manuals and keep abreast of revisions.
• Explains to the patient the rationale for tests and the steps involved for specimen collection.
• Follows good practice protocol in patient preparation and specimen collection technique including the use of appropriate collection device and container, and ensures appropriate conditions for transporting specimens to the laboratory.
• Registers laboratory request/s accurately into the laboratory information system.
• Maintains strict confidentiality and security of patient records and test results.
• Participates in continuing education and professional development.
• Participates in the committees or workgroups as required.
• Assumes other responsibilities as directed by the laboratory management within the scope of the Phlebotomist.
To apply you will possess a Minimum Diploma in Medical Technology (or equivalent) with 2-4 years of relevant experience as a Phlebotomist.
You will also be flexible and able to work shifts when required as well as being well organised and a team player.
In return you will receive a TAX FREE salary between $20k USD - $25K USD per annum Tax Free.
You will also receive FREE housing for you and any family members, monthly transportation allowance, relocation flights and annual flights home for you, spouse and up to 3 children.
Other benefits include 30 days annual leave plus all national holidays, End of Service Gratuity, medical insurance for you and your family and schooling allowance for up to 3 children.
