| Description: |
As the specialist you will be creating optimal storage designs (Enterprise Netbackup) that meet with customers requirements. You will also be providing storage product expertise, in-house and to external clients. You will form part of the team that provides all storage design services in open system environments and will therefore have a high technical ability and experience and experience of design process and documentation according to Blueprint standards.
Duties and Responsibilities are:
• Creation of high quality design documentation according to a specific design standards and templates
• Perform activation of SAN and enterprise storage requests
• Navigate and utilise network and workstation utilities
• Communicate with various client/customer operational/technical/internal/helpdesk support teams and management
• Maintain online documentation

| Capacités Requises: |
Enterprise Backup Applications: Veritas NetBackup
Enterprise disk and Management Tools: DFM, Operations Manager
Enterprise Tape Libraries and associated technologies: L5510, IBM 3584
Server Platforms: Basic Knowledge of Unix (Sun Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Linux etc) and Intel Operating System
Other:
• MS Visio
• Knowledge of Backup Methods for Oracle RMAN, SAP, MS-SQL
• Knowledge of SAN, NAS, BCV, SnapShots
• Knowledge of Networks – subnets, VLANs & routing
• Knowledge of High Availability – IP failover, VCS, Sun Cluster
